Unilab’s roots can be found at the heart of Manila, at a time when healthcare conditions were not ideal. Its story began when two friends, Jose Y. Campos (JY) and Mariano K. Tan (MK), opened a small store in Binondo, Manila by the name of United Drug.
Going above and beyond the call of duty to serve customers became United Drug’s hallmark and propelled the company to make its immutable mark on the healthcare industry. In the span of 78 years, the once small drugstore transformed into one of the most trusted healthcare companies in the country.
